Birthdays are Weird

Out with Doug. Ate a bit. Drank a bit. Did the birthday thing.

(Went to some Mexican restaurant. Sometimes you feel old on your birthday, othertimes you hang out with 15 people in their 30's, and suddently, you feel younger! Claudia, Doug, and Helen to my right. Claudia is the first Brazilian I met in D.C. The portuguese and Brazil worldcup match on tv were fun.)

(No one messes with the Leo. Especially on his birthday.)

(Bethesda bar. Compulsory peace sign. Who knows.)

(Ladies and gentlemen, this is a subway....or at least the stairs leading to it. The escalator was four stories tall. I was 25 when I got on the thing, and like 26 or 27 something when I got off.)

(Yeah, so, I ended up taking a lovely lady home. She didn't talk much but she was a damn good listener. Don't get any wild ideas, that thing beneath my hand is actually a pen. No really, I don't swing that way.)

Actually, if you want to know, Doug and I brought all the flooding on. On sunday night, before any of the storms hit, we went for a walk in the woods by our apartment complex. About two hours into our walk, we heard a bit of thunder off in the distance. Hoping to feel like manly men, we screamed at the top of our voices, "IS THAT ALL YOU GOT!" The storm responded in turn. A hard down pour followed. A bee, stung me in the face. Huge lightening bolts hit all around us. The lake near the woods started swelling, and waterfalls crashed over the path.

It didn't quit for three days.

Today is the first day with sunshine. Lot's got damaged in the storm.

Just don't tell anyone I told you.

I have tryed to encourage storms over here. . . I like a good storm sometimes (maybe not to the extent you have been getting) but all of the storms over here are very short.

No worries J. I've just become lazy of late. Not feeling the urge to write. We can blame myspace for this. It's sucking all of my online energies. Am considering a complete blog move to that account, though I still remain on the fence.

I'm thinking I need a muse, to get these gears grinding again.
