So I signed my life over yesterday. At least two years of it anyway. Realizing that there was a blank spot on my CV when it came to a home number, and that I will begin applying for jobs this week, I decided to take the plunge and get my first
US cell phone. All things considered, I think I have held out as long as humanly possible.
In
Brazil, I was amazed by the flirtation and networking potential afforded by the device, and having purchased and madly used my first one there, I suppose I can never look back.
So here it is.

Beautiful no? I had to sign a two year contract with T mobile, which I swear was like throwing a wedding ring on my finger—just WAY TO MUCH COMMITMENT in my opinion. Considering the prison sentence, I opted to spend the big bucks and get the companies nicer model, the RAZR V3. It’s mp3 ready, blue chip worthy, and sports nice visuals and a camera. It’s one of the only all metal phones on the market, and is great for its slim profile. Seeing that I don’t carry around a purse or man bag, I must insist on something that will sit inconspicuously in the pocket.
For all of you better friends out there, my number is:
..............
This will not be left on my blog long, considering it is public. If you find a blank space between this and the last sentence, email me and I’ll send it to you.
And if you are an identity stealing scallywag, or a black hearted spammer, be forewarned. I’m on the do not call list, I live in a place where hiring a lawyer is like eating cheesecake – way to damn easy – and I have large knuckles and knack for kicking ass.
My birthday is coming up on Thurs, the 22nd. If you are not one of those things, I look forward to your call.

I am still fighting the battle not to have a cell phone. . . my boss keeps telling me I should have one. . . I am holding out hoping that if they really want me to have one they will pay for it.
I am almost finished designing the brochure for the HMC. . . it is getting a bit stressful, the Rabbi seems to be giving me final say on both the content and the design. . . which is a bit of pressure since he is going print 50,000 and does not want to go with a new brochure for a long time. . . It is stressful . . but a good kind of stress . . . I think. . . anywho peace I will give you a call some time.

GO EDMONTON. . . Yeah Oilers
Hey cool. I just gotta RAZR last Friday, but I'm with Verizon, but its all good. Hope u r likin' your new home. Adios.
Damn J. Someone actually held out longer than me. I'm impressed. But like the great Mr. Smith, who slams a hundred of his bodies into Neo in the Matrix II, we all know, "it is inevitable".
Hey, I want you to send me a signed copy of your brochure when you get it done. No excuse, you know my address now.
.....glad to see I got fam, hitting my blog now Curtis. Even my brothers ignore me, so that makes you way more cool.
....and who and the hell are the Oilers?
The oilers are Edmonton's NHL Hockey team who lost last the Stanley Cup last night. Sux for them.
Yeah I got that lemon quote from a girl at this camp I worked at a few years ago. It seemed rather appropriate.
I hope to send the brochure to the printer this week. . . I am not sure what the turn over time for the printing is. . but I will send one to you as soon as I get them.
What is a good brand of Brazilian beer that is avalible in the USA?

Only one I have found is called "Xingu", I think. It's a black beer, "made in the tradition of the Indians of the Amazon", that has a kind of tangy after taste.
Otherwise, Brazilians typically drink two kinds of very light macro brew: Skol, or Brahma. Hard to find the kind of diverse beer choices in Brazil, that you find in the states, so you options will be limited. ;- )
I have seen "xingu" at a grocery store near hear but the ones they have are all covered in dust, so I hesitate to buy them . . . who knows how old they are. . . .
I sent the brochure to the printer . . . so it is out of my hands now. . . it is a waiting game to see how it turns out. . .
