Nice. I like the Alleyway. I'm not coming to visit you there, though. I'm scared of your stairs.

Oh, and by the way, that huge huge building there - that is a 2 apartment per floor place, very expensive. The apartments there are at least 4 times as big as my whole house, including both floors. One of the owners of Cameleao lives there.

wowza, those are indeed close quarters. it's nice that you're getting a real taste of how people live, but you need to get a job :D
also, just out of curiosity, how much is rent for a pad like that?

R$120 a month for everything....booyaka. Easy to complain, but shit. If I can actually start earning money...than with living costs this low maybe I can even save something!

That´s my half of the split, btw.

Wow. Um. So a couple of things.
1. Don't die. You're awesome and I love you.
2. I will still come visit you, but somehow the sleep-on-the-couch bit seems right out.
3. What a cool experience. Seriously, that is a famous picture you live in the middle of, and you will point to it many times in the years to come.
4. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHHahahahahhah

P.S. Michael. My friend will be moving out in 6 months and I will need a room mate. You could point to the photo too!

You'll have to talk to your brothers if you want to be an uncle... cuz I'm so not about that!

Sorry to hear you've moved down a notch in Brazilian society living... but you're still living the dream, eh? I hope it all works out for the best!

Ah, life with the common folk. Salt of the earth and all that. These are those formative times that you're not supposed to forget when you're rich and famous and living in that gigantic building a few blocks away.

I also am afraid of your stairs.

Leo, my friend, you have not truly lived in a city until you have lived in the hood. I have been in chateaus, high-rise luxe condos and high end hotel suites, but I have also been in some really sketchy places. You don't really know a city until you experience the different vantage points.

Don't be afraid... you're gonna build character, and even better, you get bragging rights when you're back in the states. I would've been bummed out not to experience a favela if I went to Brazil.

So do your thang. Trust your instincts. And thanks for yet another entertaining episode of Leo and the City.
